Dear Ones:- Arrived home safely at eleven last night. - Had a grand trip as far as Waterloo, but ran into the mud there and made poor time the rest of our journey. The "Olds" skid many times and we were some scared girls - Ed cleaned the car this morning and he is again on the beat at the store.
We all feel good - Made 233 miles yesterday. Will write you soon.

WINTER SCENE IN TEMPLE GROUNDS
The Salt Lake Temple is by far the most expensive and pretentious building ever erected by the Mormons. Its completion involved forty years of labor and sacrifice. The corner stone of the building was laid by Brigham Young, April 6, 1853, and it was completed in 1893 at a cost of nearly four millions of dollars. This is a beautiful scene of the Temple in winter.

THE TEMPLE was commenced April 6, 1853, and completed April 6, 1893, at a cost of approximately $4,000,000. It is 186½ feet long by 99 feet wide. The foundation, or footing walls are 16 feet thick and 8 feet deep. The basement walls are 9 feet thick and the upper walls 6 feet thick. The side walls are 107½ feet high. East center tower, 210 feet high, surmounted by a hammered copper statue of Angel Moroni, 12½ feet high, gilded with pure gold leaf.
